Each March, we pit 16 whiskeys against each other in a bracket tournament to determine the best whiskey according to our dubious palates. Then every summer, we invite a few more to compete in an exhibition round. This past March, Larceny Barrel Proof won it all. And because they put out three expressions every year, we thought we’d taste them against each other to answer the question: Can you just get any version and be happy, or is one really that much better than the others? As you know there are a ton of new "distilleries" out there that call themselves distillers but don't actually distill anything. That's not necessarily bad, but it's basically lying. However, Starlight is not one of these. Their unique situation allowed them to ferment and age whiskey using their own grains on their own land and according to their own schedule. And what's the result of all this care and carefulness, you ask? Well, just click play and listen in!
