So, we've been very lucky to receive a bunch of free bottles of whiskey from various distilleries looking to market their product. And we've been happy to comply, with the caveat that if we hate it, we're going to say so. And, honestly? So far, they've all been various degrees of great.

This time, though, a listener sent us a bottle from a local distiller with which he has no affiliation.  He just likes the stuff.  So... did we like it, too?  Well, you're just going to have to listen to find that out.  But we talk about sodomy, so, you know, that's the "Bonus" part.

In fact, he's not only salty about how expensive and rare Weller is, but also about how expensive and rare ALL the spirits from Buffalo Trace seem to be nowadays—everything from Pappy to Blanton's to Eagle Rare. And, well, he's not wrong. The secondary market may not be killing whiskey, but it sure is frustrating if you like a particular brand, can't find it in your area, and are forced to pay an outrageous price online for something you're just going to piss out tomorrow. Do better, Buffalo Trace.
